However, before Fury even stepped into the ring, the writing might have already been on the wall.
Among many other things working against him, he was missing his loving wife Paris and appeared to have fallen prey to the Drake curse.

Premature brag
Being a maverick, Fury is regarded as one of the most peculiar boxers of the modern era. Therefore, it should come as no surprise that he had his “victory cigar” ready to go when he flaunted it a few hours before the figҺt.
However, admirers were eager to inform Fury when it didn’t work out, with one saying, “This aged well.” “Don’t think he’ll be sparking that anytime soon,” another person said.

Paris misses figҺt
Fury’s childhood girlfriend had always been ringside for his fights, but she expressed remorse for having missed this one.
Will never not be at your side for a figҺt again,” she said on Instagram, clearly moved by the moment. I wаnted I could have been there even though I couldn’t.”

Drake curse
In recent years, rapper Drake has acquired an unwelcome “curse” for placing wagers on fights who ultimately suffer defeats.
This time around, it was the same when he lost a $1 million wager on Fury defeating Usyk.

Tactical error
In the pivotal moments of the bout, Fury implied that he was not motivated enough by his corner to step up the gas.
“I would have gone and tried to finish it if they had told me before the last round that I was down,” he stated, “but everyone in the corner thought we were up.”
“I was getting it; all I had to do was keep boxing and doing what I was doing.”

Nose job
Frank Warren, the promoter, emphasized that Usyk’s forceful left hand on Fury’s nose was the pivotal moment in the figҺt.
“I thought he was going to stop him because he looked so much more in control during the figҺt,” he stated.
“And then he got caught on the nose, in my opinion he lost his concentration for just a moment and then the next round obviously there was the 10-8 round.”
